Jacki Abrams MD

Jacki Abrams is a retired physician whose daughter began pulling at age 12. As a medical doctor, she struggled with how to "heal" her daughter and cope with a chronic illness for which there was no cure and one that would surely impact family relationships. Through the support of TLC's network, along with various therapists, she learned how best to support her daughter and enable her to grow into the successful young woman she is today. An essential part of parental "recovery" involved becoming an active member of TLC's community--giving workshops, serving on the Board, and enthusiastically supporting the BPM initiative. She is eager to help other parents understand and confront this disorder.
